The contractor for the Kensington Cabin rehabilitation project will begin the new water and sewer lines to the building on April 17th. The project is expected to take a week to complete. Please note that the swings by the Cabin will be removed temporarily during the project, and that the steps leading down to the park will not be accessible to pedestrians Wednesday, April 19th through Monday, April 24th.
To kick off the Kensington Cabin rehabilitation project, new sewer and water lines will be installed to service the building. Permitting delays prevented this work from taking place in February, however the water and sewer line replacement effort is now being scheduled. Once started, the work should be completed in just a few weeks. Please expect temporary closures of the swing set next to the cabin and the walkway leading from Dresden St. Parks apologizes for any inconvenience.
