Code Enforcement Officer

The Town of Kensington, Maryland is accepting applications for the full-time position of Code Enforcement Officer. Our community consists of 2,100 residents and 250 businesses in a picturesque historic town located approximately five miles north of Washington, DC.

The successful candidate will be tasked with performing administrative, professional and investigative work to enforce various Town Codes and Ordinances by conducting field inspections, preparing and presenting reports, and issuing warnings, official notices, and municipal infractions to obtain compliance with the Town Code.

Candidates will be evaluated on their working knowledge and experience with code enforcement or a related field; possession of an Associate’s Degree is desirable. The starting salary is $49,400 and may be negotiable depending on experience.
