Kensington Cabin Project

Montgomery County Parks is happy to announce a minor rehabilitation project of Kensington Cabin beginning this spring. The rehabilitated Kensington Cabin will be ADA accessible and feature an interior accessible restroom, and Montgomery County Parks plans to permit the cabin for recreational activities, such as classes, birthday parties, and community programs and meetings.

Minor Asbestos Abatement

Montgomery County Parks is scheduled to remove asbestos flooring and the non-historic plywood ceiling on April 8^th – 9^th. There is no anticipated impact to the Park or the community, and the work will be completed by the same contractor and certified air monitoring companies that completed similar work on the Warner property.
