After careful consideration and with considerable regret, The British Players regretfully announce the cancellation of their performances of The Audience.

For sixty years, Queen Elizabeth II has met with each of her twelve Prime Ministers in a private weekly audience.  The discussions are utterly secret, even to the royal and ministerial spouses.  Peter Morgan imagines these meetings over the decades of the Queen’s remarkable reign, through Prime Ministers from Winston Churchill to Margaret Thatcher and David Cameron.  THE AUDIENCE is a glimpse into the woman behind the crown, and the moments that have shaped the modern monarchy.

The British Players — as the name would suggest — are dedicated to the promotion of traditional British theater in the Washington area. Play selection is therefore centered around popular British playwrights. Farce and Comedy, as well as Drama and Murder styles tend to be favored.
