Assistant to the Town Manager – The Town of Kensington, Maryland, seeks a dynamic professional to serve as our Assistant to the Town Manager. This position will be tasked to perform intermediate professional and administrative work in support of the Town Manager. The skill set will require excellent problem analysis, research, writing, project management, and communication while working with residents and community stakeholders. The community will value your professionalism and accessibility while serving our Town.
Kensington is an active and friendly community consisting of 2,100 residents and 250 businesses within a picturesque historic town located approximately five miles north of Washington, DC.
Well qualified applicants will have at least two (2) years of municipal experience; excellent leadership and communication skills; and a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with a Masters (MPA) preferred. The position has a starting salary range of $61,675 - $70,000; actual salary to be based on experience/qualifications.
