The Town introduced an Annexation Plan for the Annexation of 35 single family homes and 3 commercial properties at the June 18, 2018 Town Council Meeting. The proposed Annexation area is approximately 12.585 acres adjacent to the present corporate limits of the Town located north of the center line of Perry Avenue to University Boulevard and certain interior and adjacent rights-of-way therein.

NOTICE OF REFERENDUM CONCERNING ANNEXATION RESOLUTION AR-01-2018 BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF KENSINGTON ANNEXING APPROXIMATELY 12.585 +/- ACRES OF LAND – The election will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018, between the hours of 9:00 am and 12:00 pm, within the right-of-way near the intersection of Madison Street and St. Paul Street, in front of 10728 St. Paul Street, Kensington, Maryland 20895. Annexation area residents who are registered to vote in Montgomery County elections as of October 25, 2018 are entitled to vote in this referendum election.
