Job Announcement: Public Works – Maintenance I
Public Works – Maintenance I – The Town of Kensington, Maryland, seeks a dynamic individual to join our Public Works team. This position will be tasked to perform intermediate as well as routine trades-based unskilled and semi-skilled manual work on a specialized crew of workers engaged in a variety of tasks and assignments supporting the construction, maintenance, and repair of Town facilities, buildings, parks, streets, sidewalks, storm drains, rights-of-way, and other public grounds and amenities.
Kensington is an active and friendly community consisting of 2,600 residents and 250 businesses within a picturesque historic town, in which the Public Works team is responsible for maintaining six parks, along with eight miles of Town streets.
Well-qualified applicants will have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in public works, general construction, park maintenance, utilities support, and/or general maintenance. The position has a starting salary of $47,840 - $54,080; actual salary to be based on experience/qualifications.
