This race is a USTAF-certified 8K course whose proceeds benefit our local schools: Kensington-Parkwood ES, North Bethesda MS, and Walter Johnson HS.  The Kensington 8K Race is open to runners of all calibers and has a 1K and a 2-mile course, in addition to the main 8K course. For more information about the race, please visit the Kensington 8K Race website.

From artist, Jennifer Beaudet – This painting  is inspired by that magical moment in the early morning when kids and families of all ages line up in anticipation of the annual 2 mile race in front of Noyes Library. The energy of the occasion fuels the larger 8K race to follow. This wonderful race event inspires so many in our community to give their all while benefiting our local schools.
